Frequently asked questions
What are barcodes?
A barcode is a way of representing letters and digits through a sequence of bars and spaces. Optical scanners decode the bars into computer-processable data. Codes allocated for commercial products have 13 digits, with the 642 prefix for Romania.
What other costs will I have?
Beyond the initial package cost, there are no additional fees or recurring subscriptions. The codes are yours, with no annual renewal.
Can I get a refund?
The unique code assigned to your company cannot be cancelled once issued. By sending the request you agree to the allocation terms.
Are 642-prefix codes internationally valid?
Yes. The 642 prefix is Romania's ISO code, assigned by the International Organization for Standardization and administered in Romania by ARPC (Romanian Association for Palletization & Containerization). Codes with this prefix are globally recognized by retailers and marketplaces.
Where are the barcode images?
You receive the allocated numbers, not the graphics. Generate them for free using online generators or via dedicated label design software.
Can I sell codes to another company?
No. Codes assigned to your company cannot be transferred or resold. The identifier is permanently bound to your Tax ID.
I need more codes. How do I proceed?
Purchase a new package (same type or higher) and the allocation procedure is repeated to obtain an additional unique code.
Can barcodes be used for warehouse / internal logistics?
The unique allocated codes are intended for final products sold in retail and marketplaces. For internal warehouse or logistics identification, other code types (Code 128, QR, DataMatrix) can be generated internally without allocation.
What do I fill in for "Product category"?
Fill in the main category or categories of products you sell. Ex: food, hygiene, phone accessories, handmade, consumer goods, equipment.
